The focus of a Chiropractic Sports Physician is to provide conservative care in the management, rehabilitation and performance optimization of the neuromusculoskeletal system for athletes. Chiropractic Sports Physicians are chiropractors that continued their doctoral training to obtain further credentialing in the realm of athletics. This training includes sideline emergency procedures, extensive training on various pre/rehabilitation methods and a more in-depth study in performance optimization. We are trained not only to handle injuries but also to provide the edge in athletic competition. This training gives us another tool to employ when we are treating any of our patients. Soft tissues react in similar ways regardless of what caused their initial injury. The desk worker may be experiencing many of the same symptoms as the marathon runner albeit from different causes.
